[Case Study] Indoor Installation of Dust Explosion Pressure Relief Type Dust Collectors
Introducing a case study that achieved indoor installation with explosion-proof bends and rupture disks!
There was a challenge of wanting to install a dust collector for explosive dust indoors, and issues with the explosion vent included flames escaping outside the unit during an explosion. As a countermeasure for when the dust collector is stopped, a "rupture disk" was adopted, and for flame protection during an explosion, an "explosion suppression vent" was implemented. As a result, by suppressing the release of flames through heat absorption and collision when passing through the suppression vent, the blast wave and temperature rise were mitigated, reducing damage to the surrounding area. 【Case Study】 <Problems with the explosion vent> ■ Flames escape outside the unit along with the blast wave during an explosion. ■ When the dust collector is stopped and the filter is cleaned, the vent cover may open, leading to the possibility of dust leakage. ■ The vent type is installed outdoors due to explosion risk. <Benefits> ■ Prevention of dust dispersion from the vent during stoppage. ■ Mitigation and reduction of blast waves and fires for the vent type. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
